Happy New Years! A Year In Retrospect

Happy New Years Eve everyone here, and Happy New Years to those across the sea! I hope you all had good times this year, and I hope that next year will bring good fortune to you all! But before we leap into the New Year, I wanted to take a look back at this year in my life and kinda summarize it. 

So, to start this was my first full year in Florida since the issues happened with grandma and mom. I went and saw Dad and Garrett for Christmas last year, had a great time up until return, when someone stole my luggage and every present out of them except for some of my clothes. That was a rather rough way to start the year, but it got better when my mom and I moved out of our aunt's house and into our own!

This apartment we moved into at March has been very nice to us; it's pretty cozy and has enough room for me to display my museum of knick-knacks, and gave me the much-needed peace and quiet AWAY from my family. It was the first time I felt like I could be myself and not being judged by my family. I felt so happy to be away! 

I continued to hunt for jobs during the spring and summer, not finding much luck as I also worked on my FAFSA, my writing and video games. It was pretty boring overall, but I did make some great new friends, made new pairings and all that! I also did finally resolve FAFSA, enroll in college, and get a job in the middle of August so that was an amazing stroke of luck. I managed to make it through my first semester in college with passing grades too! 

In October/November, we got a pair of puppies. They were strenuous at first, but I've been coming around to liking the two, even if that caused some issues with dad in NH. However, everything was resolved, and in November I lost my job. However, the business itself wasn't doing well so it made sense, and ever since I've been looking for a job. Christmas came and I got a PS4, which is nice, but spending time with mom and the puppies has been fun too. Anyways, while my year had ups and downs to be sure, I loved every second of it. I made great friends and had good times, and I hope 2016 will be even better~!
